Then I look for the for areas where the white meets the blue and follow those contours until I see some type of bottom change that might catch my eye. Finally I will put my depth contour at 20ft that will filter out all the contours 20ft or deeper. Then I turn on fishing range between 17-20ft that will highlight all the contours between 17-20ft. That will show me open water 8ft or less. Ill turn on satellite overlay feature to show me land, then I take the water level feature and put it at a minus number like -8. The functions I use in this scenario are water level, fishing range, satellite overlay, and depth contours. ![]() I created a way to find those changes using the App. Many times I'm looking for a distinct contour drop or a subtle change in contours along the bottom. ![]() How to find contours others may have missed? Using the Navionics App I have found many ways to find certain contours some fishermen might not pay attention too.
